Tajikistan and Russia have agreed to protect Tajik-Afghan border jointly to cope with threats posed by Afghan war.
The decision was taken during a meeting of President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Secretary of Defense Council of Russia Nikolai Patrushev held on Wednesday in Dushanbe.
Both leaders discussed issues related with cooperation in the field of fighting terrorism, including joint patrolling and protection of Tajik-Afghan border to cope with threats posed by Afghan war.
