Since the UNDP BOMNAF Project management team assumed responsibility for the JICA funded Border Management Project, UNDP’S Border Management Training Team now arranges and delivers courses to both BOMNAF and BMP beneficiaries.
We were extremely pleased to welcome UNDP Country Director, Mr Ghulam Isaczai, to meet Afghan and Tajik students on our recent Train the Trainer (T3) Course, held at the OSCE’s Border Management Staff College. By investing in the development of local training capability within Afghanistan and Tajikistan’s Border agencies, the T3 approach ensures that capability can endure following the possibility of any future reallocation of donor resources.
Mr Isaczai enjoyed the opportunity to have lunch and talk with eight students from the Afghan Border Police, one from Tajikistan’s Drug Control Agency and another from the Tajik Customs Service. He also met Project Manager William Lawrence and other members of the BOMNAF Team.
